Holly at 5 months.

When taking pictures of animals, I think the most important tool is luck.  They very rarely sit still, or look in the direction you want them to.  And in the case of holly here, she has worked out that every time my camera comes out, to walk away somewhere peaceful.

This is Holly, she was about 6 months at this time.  Looks so innocent, but as all Labradors looks can be deceiving.

This is Isla.  One of the dogs in our Village.  Among her favourite pastimes are, chasing balls, playing with Holly, eating dead crabs on the beach and running all over the place as fast as her paws can carry her.

Holly in her favourite position.  In my seat.  At this point wondering if I am about to kick her off the sofa so I can sit down.

One of those rare moments when Isla is still enough to take a photograph of her !

One of the hardest subjects to capture on a camera are Animals.  Pets make great models, until they learn how to turn or blink just at the wrong moment, or run when the Flash Gun comes out.

But here are a few of our family pet, and other assorted animals in the village and surrounding area.  I will be updating this as an ongoing project, if and when nature pokes its head out and lets me take a picture of it !

Holly waiting for the stick to be thrown, again.  The dog has a one track mind.

The other pose that she is fond of.  The paw up in the air hoping and waiting for a Gravy Bone treat.
